Every fluid brushstroke stands as an active search for character, resulting in contemporary figurative watercolour and ink studies that retain a raw, vital immediacy.

When working with watercolour and ink, I chase that split-second balance where the medium takes over and the composition begins to breathe on its own. My Hull studio is a space dictated purely by process. Every piece presented here is a singular original work – never a print or a duplicate – born from a gesture-first philosophy that prioritises authentic character over clinical composition. By keeping the artwork raw and tightly focused, the goal is to capture the psychological essence of the subject rather than a superficial likeness.

I believe that acquiring fine art should be an accessible, entirely transparent experience. Every original painting in this collection is sold unframed and unmounted, allowing collectors the freedom to tailor the final presentation to their own architectural space.

Working independently from my studio in Hull, East Yorkshire, I handle everything myself to ensure each original painting arrives safely.
